What is Vaping?
Vaping is the term used for the act of vaporizing e-liquid in e-cigarettes. E-liquids generally contain only four or five base ingredients- Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin, Flavorings, Distilled water and sometimes Nicotine. E-cigarettes and e-liquids are intended for adults over the age of 18.
How do e-cigarettes work?
There are three basic components to an e-cigarette: a battery, a heating element (coil), and a tank (atomizer). The battery heats the coil, which is saturated with e-liquid from the tank. The heated coil then vaporizes the liquid into a mist that looks and feels like smoke.
What ingredients are in Above The Clouds e-liquids?
Above The Clouds e-liquid consists of high quality USP grade Vegetable Glycerin, USP grade Propylene Glycol and Natural & Artificial flavoring. No colouring agents are used in our E- Liquids and minimal sweeteners. All liquids are pre-steeped and ready to vape once purchased. All our flavors are a 60%VG/ 40%PG mix which provides a smooth, full flavored vapor.
What does PG/VG mean?
PG/VG is the ratio of Propylene Glycol to Vegetable Glycerin, which affects the viscosity of the liquid. Propylene Glycol is thinner and the main flavor carrier, but increases the throat hit while you are vaping. Vegetable Glycerin, on the other hand, is thicker, smoother, and creates more vapor at the cost of some flavor. Though comprehensive testing we have found our ratio of 60/40 VG/PG to deliver a smooth and full flavoured experience.
What is Diacetyl and should I be concerned with it?
Diacetyl is a naturally occurring chemical and part of the diketon class. Diacetyl exists widely in nature, and is responsible for the buttery taste of many foods and beverages and is found in fruit, butter, coffee, dairy, honey and tobacco. While it’s absolutely safe to eat or drink, inhalation in high levels has been linked to rare cases of respiratory conditions such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. The average e- liquid contains around 100 times less diacetyl than a tobacco cigarette. As e-liquids primarily get their taste from food flavorings, many e-liquid flavors are at risk of containing diacetyl. At Above The Clouds we choose not to use Diactyl heavy ingredients and keep well below recommended levels in our effort to bring you clean, high quality e-liquids.
